Arab Oil and Gas Show

Welcome to Arab Oil and Gas Show

With a proven track record of attracting an audience of trade buyers and technical specialists from all over the Arab World, Iran, North Africa, the Levant and as far as the Indian Sub-continent, the Arab Oil and Gas Show in Dubai has established itself as a biennial must-visit event in the calendar of Energy energy industry experts.

Dubai: the networking capital

About 2/3rd of the world's oil reserves and 2/5th of the world's gas reserves are distributed across the Middle East region with some areas more accessible and business-friendly than others. The fact remains that Dubai has established itself as a trading hub to the region and has reverberated position as the networking capital of the Middle East.

Attested attendance

The UAE and Dubai in particular, is home to prominent international Oil & Gas community with significant regional outreach. Some of the world's largest mainstream energy service providers and equipment suppliers are based and regionally controlled out of Dubai.

The Arab Oil & Gas Show is commonly attended by high profile decision makers who regularly look for neutral venues to assemble and network within their industry circle.

UAE and beyond

The Re-export potential of Dubai goes beyond its immediate neighbourhood. The Oil & Gas industry contributes a fair share to the volume of trade that passes through Dubai which makes it an internationally recognised trading partner. Dubai's top regional re-exporting destinations include India, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Syria.

More exploration means more business

As new exploration contracts in the Middle East kick off in 2011 through to 2013, the Arab Oil and Gas Show 2011 becomes your integrated platform for offering downstream equipment and services to producers and contractors.

Oil and gas production is being developed rapidly in UAE

A new oil discovery could significantly boost Dubai's hydrocarbon output. The new deposits would strengthen the economic capabilities of the country and increase oil production. The oil field will reinforce infrastructure and production in Dubai with prospecting and exploration study reports expected to be announced shortly.

  • Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) will spend $5b to raise output capacity by 2016. Service contracts will be awarded in 2012 for projects that increase capacity and raise output up to 3.5million barrels per day (bpd)
  • Ras Al Khaimah Petroleum in the UAE is increasing activity offshore of Oman due to controlling stakes in oilfields there, leading to greater contractor and equipment requirements.
  • Saudi Arabia remains committed to pushing existing capacity from 11 million bpd to approximately 15 million bpd post 2012.
  • Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) will complete a project to double the capacity of the UAE's largest oil refinery by the end of 2013. The Ruwais refinery expansion will be fully operational by the first-quarter of 2014.
  • Annual capital expenditure on offshore hydrocarbon exploration and production in the Middle East could reach US $15 billion by 2012 demonstrating an annual growth of 10%.

These and other upstream investments are generating demand for equipment, technology, maintenance and service contracts. In addition, there is unprecedented demand for drilling rigs and related maintenance in the Middle East as the search for hydrocarbons becomes more intense.
