The Oil and Gas segment of the OGS is currently in its 15th year, and has established itself as a regional platform for procurement and networking in the conventional energy sector.
For 2008, the Oil and Gas segment is expanding and renewing its format in response to market needs. The show’s traditional downstream trade and procurement focus is augmented by an upstream networking forum, creating an ideal venue for oil and gas producers to strengthen business ties.
OGS is the largest and longest established event of its kind serving the lower Gulf. Fourteen successful iterations have established it as the premier networking forum for Oil, Natural Gas and Energy producers to meet service providers, engineers and suppliers. The show has distinguished itself as a calendar for the Oil & Gas Industry, where networking is complemented by confirmed business transactions at the venue.
History
Over 4,200 companies from more than 37 countries have participated at the OGS since it began in 1984. These include the biggest names in the industry globally, as well as National Pavilions from: Germany, UK, Canada, China, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Ukraine. Supported by the UAE Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, OGS 2008 will be the 15th iteration of the international event.
