As new research exposes the effectiveness of training and professional development for successful leaders to hone critical competencies throughout their career, the same holds true to the oil and gas sector, where training empowers people to think and work differently as they take on the challenges of the industry in upcoming decades.

With new projects in the pipeline, Recruitment & Training in the Oil & Gas Industry is set to grow exponentially over the next few years.

Arab Oil & Gas 2015 will bridge the gap between education and industry by hosting the Excellence in Engineering Forum – where technicians, engineers and engineering graduates interact, network and benefit from the knowledge and experience of industry professionals and academicians. The programme will discuss and address topics on engineering practices, environmental, health and safety standards, career development and the importance of training and workshop participation.

Solar Power Technology

In line with its global responsibility towards ensuring a sustainable future, UAE is investing in numerous alternative energy initiatives. As economic growth and industrial development continue on an upward trend, the demand for Energy is on the rise with domestic demand for power expected to more than double by 2020. This accompanied with climate change and environmental concerns, have led to the mobilization of alternative energy projects within the country, on both private as well as government levels, to fuel the propelling economy.

UAE is pursuing one of the world's most comprehensive clean energy programs to reduce its carbon footprint pledging more than US$ 15 billion in renewable energy programs, through projects such as the Masdar Initiative and the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. It is also working towards generating 7% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020, with an undeniably large part of this target being expected through solar energy. According to current estimations, solar power companies could easily have the capacity to supply up to 800 MW of energy to meet the amplifying power demands.

This meeting of energy professionals offers suppliers a highly targeted and conducive platform to network, demonstrate and sell Alternative Energy technologies. Distributors of panels, inverters, power stations and associated solar products will be connected with this booming market and can effectively reach out to buyers across the private and public sectors.
